What to do in acute danger
- Protect yourself and the children.
- In immediate danger, call the police: 110.
- The police can transfer you to a women's and children's shelter.
- The police can ban a violent partner from the home for the first 3 days. An extension of up to 14 days is possible via the public order office (Ordnungsamt).
Document injuries
- If you or the children are physically injured, see a doctor and ask for a written report.
- If needed, document injuries yourself with photos and dates.
- Show them to a person you trust.
When violence is threatening
Call our counseling service. We answer all your questions — confidentially and without conditions.
Phone: 07721 54400. Outside office hours we can be reached around the clock via the police, tel. 110.
If you cannot call, write to beratungsstelle@fhf-sbk.de. Use private browsing mode, or clear your browser history afterwards.
Going to the women's shelter
If possible, bring the following:
- ID and passport — for yourself and the children
- Health insurance card — for yourself and the children
- Cash, bank cards, savings books
- Medication, vaccination records
- School supplies and reports
- Clothing
- Favourite stuffed animal or toy for the children
How a consultation works
- First contact: You call or write. It is okay to remain anonymous.
- Conversation: We listen, take you seriously, and talk about what you need. You decide what happens next.
- Further steps: If you wish, we refer you to shelters, doctors, lawyers or youth welfare offices — and accompany you to appointments.
Free and confidential
Counseling is free of charge. It is funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg. We keep everything confidential — even towards police and authorities, if you want that.
